On October 2nd 2012 none of the people involved in producing the Glossop Gazette had any idea that within two weeks they would have produced a new and exciting newspaper for Glossop! Staffed entirely by amateur volunteers, the Glossop Gazette is a very local paper; written by locals, distributed locally and with only local news. The Glossop Gazette will be published fortnightly. The first edition is out now and the next edition is due on October 24th.

What's different about the Glossop Gazette?

1. It doesn't include news from anywhere further than Mottram Moor.
2. It only includes local advertising and our rates are highly competitive.
3. It is printed on quality 48.8 gsm paper.
4. It doesn't shirk from its main responsibility; to make local government accountable to local people.
